The hardcover feels solid and the pages have a nice weight to them, which I appreciated since I've been flipping back to the controls chapter a lot. The argument that intuitive controls matter more than storylines genuinely made me rethink a few favorites.

Bought this expecting a straightforward defense of games as art, and the chapter on responsive controls actually made me rethink why I forgive clunky mechanics in story-driven titles. Only gripe is the font's a bit small for long reading sessions, but the arguments hold up.
