The vertical scrolling chaos is exactly what I wanted, and the deluxe edition extras actually feel worth it. Ship movement takes a bit of getting used to, but once it clicks the stages fly by.
Was worried the limited pre-order window would make this hard to snag, but the region-free disc plays perfectly on my setup. The vertical scrolling action is relentless, and the deluxe extras in the box were a nice surprise for the price.
