Was nervous about the region-free aspect, but the cartridge works perfectly on my North American Switch. The combat is punishing in that satisfying Souls-like way, and the enemy variety keeps each area feeling fresh. Already sunk a few hours in and it’s exactly the challenge I was hoping for.
The pre-order window was tight, but getting a region-free physical copy for my Switch makes it worth the wait; already sunk hours into hunting mages.
Glad I grabbed the region-free version since I travel a lot and my Switch isn't tied to one eShop. Combat feels heavier than the first game, and the mage hunts keep pulling me back for one more run.
