Celebrate Soul Reaver’s 25th Anniversary
Experience the epic conflict of Kain and Raziel in original form or with remastered graphics.
The remastered visuals on the first Soul Reaver alone are worth it, the textures finally look sharp on the Switch and the region-free disc means I can play it on any console I own. Pre-ordered back in February and it arrived exactly as described, no issues with the code or anything.
Was worried a region-free copy would feel like a cheap import, but the disc runs fine on my US console with no workarounds. The toggle between original and updated graphics is the feature I keep messing with, flipping back and forth mid-level just to see how they rebuilt the fog.
The remastered visuals are a nice upgrade and the region-free disc worked fine on my PS5. That said, $40 feels steep for two old games with minimal extras, and I wish they'd included more behind-the-scenes content.
